....what more could any Bride want!

Today is National Bride at Work Day!!The National Wedding Show is calling on all Brides to wear their wedding dress to work to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. It doesn’t matter if you were married in 2010, 1910 or even if it’s still a work in progress... if you can find a dress (and fit into it!) they need you to get sponsored to wear it to work on Friday 17th September 2010...THATS TODAY!

The whole of the wedding party can get involved too. Encourage your friends, family and colleagues to take part. Whether they are the bride, groom, bridesmaid, bestman, mother of the bride or usher they can wear their outfits to work too.

Last night we delivered some stunning Wedding Rings to a lovely couple based in Essex. They were thrilled so we thought we would share them with you. We hope you like them as much as they did!

Ladies: 3mm wide ring set with 2mm wide Princess Cut Diamonds totalling 0.5ct in weight set in 18ct white gold.
Mens: 5mm Court ring in 18ct white gold.

Wedding Supplier Wednesday - Bunny Delicious

Happy Wednesday!

Today we are featuring the truly awesome Zoe from Essex basedBUNNY DELICIOUS, and we are thrilled to be able to show you her sparkling brand new WEBSITE Lets see what Zoe has to say:

I design and produce wedding stationery, as well as table plans, guest books, post boxes, memory boxes, photograph albums. I set up the business in 2003 selling handmade birthday cards to posh card shops in Essex.

Setting up the business wasn't intentional by any means. My 2nd baby was 5 months old and I loathed the thought of just being a housewife. I started making cards, which were selling really well, and then somebody said I should make wedding stationery. So I did, I registered the company name and then rest is history!

I design from the heart using passion and flair. I utterly love my job and I believe this shows in every single piece of work I produce. With my designs, I believe there are no boundaries. I like to think of my work as a fun day at the circus, colourful, exciting and always full of surprises. My style is utterly unique and you can spot a “bunny delicious” creation from a mile off (so I’ve been told!)

The best bit of my day? Taking a blank canvas, and transforming it into something utterly amazing.

That Friday Feeling...

do you all have that Friday feeling? welllll its almost the weekend wahoooo!

We are VERY excited today to be attending one of our clients gorgeous Weddings near Bath. Its going to be BRILL and we wish Jim & Emma the best of luck for today and for a happy life together! See you both later!

Jim proposed with our special 'Diamond in a Box' service, perfect if you are unsure exactly which ring your 'Fiance to be' (hopefully!) would like! You come to us, choose your Diamond from a selection and take it away in a beautiful presentation box which you can use to Propose. You and your fiance then come back to me and between us we come up with the perfect bespoke Engagement Ring. This is a BRILLIANT way to get your girlfriend involved in the process, and we find the ladies love it too!!
And for those that love the bling - here is a picture of the Engagement ring we made Emma late last year. It really is a cracker we love it!

We are also very excited as we 'broke our advertising cherry' and our first ever Magazine advert is on the shelves this week! Wedding Supplier Wednesday - Lily & Frank Photography

Happy Wedding Supplier Wednesday – and we have a cracker for you today! The wonderfully talented Catherine, London based photographer and founder of Lily & Frank Photography.

Lily & Frank began in 2006, I combined it with my then full time job before becoming a full time photographer in November 2009. I photograph weddings, portraits, bridal portraiture (post wedding shoots) and engagement shoots (pre wedding shoots)

I first starting second shooting weddings with another photographer which I could easily fit around my day job, the following year I began shooting alone and as I progressed I got more and more work and it was time to take a deep breath and jump and go full time. Whilst I'll always appreciate my day job and the people I worked for, it was never me. I felt ungrateful that this perfectly decent job made me unhappy but that's how I felt and when it comes down to it, what's so wrong about doing something you love? I had to start my own business or I'd be 80 years old and regret never having tried!

I aim to turn up at my couples wedding as an old friend with a pretty impressive camera. Someone they are comfortable and happy to have around but who is discreet and on the periphery. I really, really adore my couples, I love their day, their effort, their details, their story and I want their images to reflect all the emotions from the day, the laughter, joy, tears, shock (I've heard some amazing speeches!) and of course love, I want to tell every story from the day. I just do it in pictures. If couples like my natural style which I compliment with creative couple portraiture and they like me, then we have the perfect match.

I love the getting ready time, being there to capture the bride being transformed, capturing her details, I LOVE details, shoes, dress, the table settings, all the beautiful details! The build up and excitement is incredible to witness. But my totally favourite part of the day is quality alone time with the couple, creating their couple portraits. I always strive to capture something different, something unique, something that is them. I love coming away from a wedding with an amazing couple shot!

Jon is fantastic! I was given a very old, very dirty and to be honest not very nice ring. Not knowing anything about it I showed it to Jon for his advice. Jon tested the main stone and confirmed it was, to my delight, a diamond. He was able to sell the yellow gold for scrap and with this money he reset the stone in a white gold ru...b over setting and it is currently sat beautifully around my neck.

Happy Wednesday! The sun is out in London town, and we have another wonderful Wedding Supplier Wednesday feature for you - all together now - wooohoooo!

Today we are featuring the brilliant Amma from Beyond Beyond, who is a rather fantastic graphic designer, invitation designer and web designer established in 2004 based in London (although her creations travel everywhere!)I wanted to work for someone who would let me have long lunches, would never say no to my holiday and I didn’t really need to suck up to – ME! It is a lot of hard work, but I love working for myself it is super fun and it has made me disciplined!

I strive for the best customer service possible, I aim to be helpful and creative as possible and throw as many innovative fun an quirky solutions as I can.

The best bit about my working day; When I have made the bride & groom, groom & groom, or bride & bride happy – job done for me!

I am a hopeless devoted paper addict, and I love coming up with weird, wonderful and quirky designs solutions. I love my job, I love making people happy, and most of all I love making couples happy. I always feel really honoured to be such a key part of someone’s big day. Also, it doesn’t just stop at wedding stationery – I do all the social stuff, births, baby showers the lot so I am available for it all! (I also make wedding websites too!)
